JULIAN J. JAVIER MD, FACC, FCCP, FSCAI

 

Dr. Julian J. Javier is a Cardiac and Vascular Specialists. He obtained his Doctorate degree in 1986 from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, the oldest University of the American Continent, founded in 1586.
Dr. Javier began his medical career as an Emergency Room (ER) Physician at the medical center of the Universidad Central del Este in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In 1988, he moved to the United States, hired by the University of Miami, department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine to do research on Human Immunodeficiency Virus, Sickle Cell Anemia and Cystic Fibrosis. During his tenure at the University of Miami, he published the effects of HIV drugs in Zinc and Selenium levels on patients being treated with anti HIV drugs.


From 1990 to 1993 he did his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Medical School. The following three years, he specialized in cardiovascular diseases at the same school, and in 1996 he started another fellowship in Interventional Cardiology. After finishing his fellowship, he joined the faculty of the University of Arkansas Medical Center, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. In 1999 he moved from academics into private practice, returning to Miami, where he joined the staff of the Baptist Cardiac and Vascular institute.


Dr. Javier became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1996, board certified in Cardiovascular diseases in 1999, and board certified in Interventional cardiology in 2001. He was also named Fellow of the American College of Cardiology in 1999, Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians in 2000, and fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions in 2001.

Lowell S. Kabnick, M.D

 

Lowell S. Kabnick, M.D joined the NYU faculty in 2007 as the Director of the NYU Vein Center. He is a world-renowned surgeon-teacher whose patient-centered approach to vein care has enabled him to create and improve a number of today’s most advanced non-invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Kabnick is recognized by his peers as an international authority on the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. He was the first vascular surgeon in the United States to perform the Closure™ (radiofrequency) procedure and the VenaCure™ (laser) procedure--two breakthrough technologies for treating the underlying causes of many varicose vein problems. Highly sought after as a consultant and teacher by medical societies the world over, he has consistently recognized as one of the areas “Top Doctors” and is listed in the Guide to “Americas Top Surgeons”. Dr. Kabnick devotes his practice entirely to venous diagnosis and treatments and has written and published numerous chapters and papers. Dr. Kabnick is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Venous Forum, and the Society of Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American College of Phlebology.
